Ennismore will take over the management and growth plans for sustainability hospitality brand Our Habitas as part of a strategic partnership announced June 20.Â
London-based Our Habitas and its 10 resorts will join London-based Ennismore’s growing list of brands. Our Habitas was founded in 2016 and has locations in Chile, Costa Rica, Mexico, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Namibia, Bhutan and Indonesia. The company has multiple projects in the pipeline, including several in Saudi Arabia and further expansion plans in Asia.
“We are excited to partner with Ennismore as we enter the next phase of our growth and our mission to continue to disrupt the hospitality industry,” Our Habitas co-founder and CEO Oliver Ripley and chairman Maurice Salem said in a news release. “Ennismore’s entrepreneurial approach and global footprint, combined with their extensive operational expertise, make them the ideal partner for Our Habitas to continue its trajectory as a global leader in experiential hospitality.”
Our Habitas says it is a disruptor in experiential luxury hospitality and has attracted investors such as PIF, Starwood Capital, Barry Sternlicht, Maurice Salem and Travis Kalanick. Â
“Our Habitas has created a unique niche in luxury hospitality, offering stunning destinations to passionate travelers seeking a lifetime adventure full of memorable moments and unexpected discoveries,” said Accor chairman and CEO Sebastien Bazin, who is also executive chairman of Ennismore. “Its crafted positioning will perfectly fit with our Ennismore collective and effortlessly match our lifestyle and tailor-made approach to hospitality.”
As part of the partnership, Our Habitas will benefit from Ennismore’s extensive experience with lifestyle brands and will have access to Accor’s global platforms. Ripley will remain involved with the company “in overseeing the creative vision of the brand.” Â
With its backing from Paris-based Accor, Ennismore has been growing rapidly in the lifestyle and all-inclusive resort segments with brands like Delano, Hyde, Mama Shelter, Mondrian and The Hoxton.
