how I think about travel
I’m not the most seasoned traveler in the world and not every trip has been spiritually world-changing, but EVERY trip I’ve gone on has changed me in some way. That is the core of my travel philosophy which is Travel is Transformation. Whether it’s being open to the innocence of Disneyland or the sublime vastness of the Arizona desert (and the slot canyons!), the discovery of a secret local park, or the Yad Vashem/ Western Wall in Israel… every trip can change you if you let it.
That’s also the power of travel and what I want to write about and explore. Whether I’m traveling solo, with my wife, whole family, or in a group… I’m always thinking about how can whatever trip I go on create or open me to new experiences that can change me for the better. I’m always thinking about the best ways to travel, how to design the best travel experiences and align my deepest interests to the trip I’m on.
Travel is Transformation and I’m looking forward to sharing my thoughts on travel, how I’ve been transformed on some of my trips, where I want to go, and planning the best trips I can with my limited time and resources.
