The 10 Sandals Resorts with Best Beaches

While every all-inclusive adults-only Sandals resort in the Caribbean sits on a beautiful beach, some are more stunning than others. After visiting every Sandals Resort, we ranked the resorts based on how much we enjoyed the beach there.

Sandals Grenada

Dan’s personal favorite beach is the exclusive Pink Gin Beach at Sandals Grenada. The main swimming section of the beach is protected by a wall of rocks which makes for a perfect habitat for sealife. This means there is great snorkeling right off the beach.

Additionally, you get a little bit of movement from waves, but nothing too crazy. The water is a beautiful shade of green blue and the beach chairs don’t go as fast as they do at other Sandals Resorts.

Sandals Grande St. Lucian. St. Lucia

One of three Sandals in St. Lucia, Sandals Grande St. Lucian sits on the best beach for watersports: the calm waters of Rodney Bay. Pristine white sand lines the clear turquoise waters, and you’ll love the amazing views.

This is one of the few resorts where you can almost always go water skiing or wakeboarding from the shore.

You can easily swim and snorkel from the beach or go on snorkeling trips right from the onsite pier. For an incredible experience, swim or snorkel right from your room in an incredible Over-the-Water bungalow. (And if you want to get married here, you can do so in an Over-the-Water wedding chapel!)

Sandals Grande Antigua

Set on one of Antigua’s best beaches (which is saying something, since there are 365 beaches here!), Sandals Grande Antigua is a top choice for couples who enjoy snorkeling and scuba diving since there are islands and a reef just offshore.

Dickenson Bay offers sparkling white sand, swaying palm trees, and vivid turquoise waters that are calm and perfect for swimming and watersports. Make the most of your beach time here in a Beachfront Rondoval Suite.

The only negative to this resort is the beach is not private so there are a lot of vendors. But I know a lot of guest like that as well.

Sandals Negril, Jamaica

Negril is home to one of the most well-known beaches in the Caribbean, and Sandals Negril makes the most of its location here. Beautiful white-sand Seven Mile Beach offers gorgeous sunset views, palm trees, and calm waters perfect for swimming, kayaking, and paddleboarding.

This also makes Sandals Negril one of the best Sandals resorts for snorkeling. You can snorkel right off the beach or head to great spots just offshore. Unlike some resorts, there are plenty of beach chairs spread out so you won’t have to worry about waking up early to claim one.

Sandals South Coast, Jamaica

A quiet Sandals resort, Sandals South Coast offers a private beach that is part of a nature reserve, making for a peaceful and pristine setting. Wander down the 2-mile stretch of sugar white sand or just lounge and look out at the sparkling Caribbean.

You can head to the overwater bar or stay as close to the water as possible in an overwater bungalow here. Sandals South Coast is also one of the best Sandals resorts for destination weddings, as it has an amazing overwater wedding chapel.

Sandals Saint Vincent

At the newest Sandals Resort, the beach is pretty large and has soft white sand. The beach was originally a black sand beach, but was covered with white sand before the resort opened. The water is clear and calm, perfect for water skiing or just relaxing during the day.

Sandals Montego Bay, Jamaica

The beach at Sandals Montego Bay is a private paradise. A long stretch of soft white sand slopes into a vivid turquoise and blue sea, where offshore reefs ensure calm waters. You can lounge here all day under shade umbrellas, sipping a refreshing tropical drink.

There are even thatched-roof platforms perched over the water for additional privacy, or head to the beach bar or the over-the-water bar, which has overwater hammocks for two. Several of the restaurants are waterfront as well, and you can stay in beachfront swim-up butler suites for the ultimate luxury.

Some people complain about the airplane noise so it may not be the best beach for people who like to nap on the beach.

Sandals Barbados and Royal Barbados

These two luxurious Sandals resorts are located next to each other on one of the best beaches in Barbados, Maxwell Beach in St. Lawrence Gap. Whether you stay at Sandals Barbados or Sandals Royal Barbados you can relax on the gorgeous stretch of soft white sand and gaze out at the crystal clear water, which is generally calm and perfect for swimming and watersports.

Another plus about these Sandals resorts’ beach is that there are several rows of lounge chairs here—more than most other resorts. This helps you find a chair in the morning since a lot of the resort is not beachfront.

Sandals Royal Plantation

The beach at Sandals Royal Plantation is small, but has clear calm water perfect for a tropical getaway. What makes this resort beach so great is actually the service. The beach butler never let you go too long without being offered a drink and since everyone on resort gets a butler, you can also count on lunch and anything else you would need to be brought to you.

Which Sandals beach is best in Jamaica?

This is a tie between Sandals South Coast, Sandals Montego Bay, and Sandals Negril,  as each one of these Jamaica Sandals resorts made this best beaches list. It really depends on what type of beach you’re looking for. Sandals South Coast is more pristine and quiet, while Sandals Negril is great for snorkeling and Sandals Montego Bay is more lively.
