News and notes from around the interweb:
- ‘“You call this food?” he asked. Then he loudly announced, “I wouldn’t feed this to a dog!”’ Delta first class passenger flying Salt Lake City to Chicago stays behind to apologize to flight attendants for how poorly he treated them. It’s possible for poorly-behaved passengers to develop self-awareness.
A while later, rushing through the airport, I saw the flight attendant who had been the primary recipient of the businessman’s vitriol. “Excuse me,” I began. “You handled that guy so graciously. I’m sorry for the way he acted.”
Saying nothing, the woman just kind of stared at me. “I think several of us were praying for you,” I offered. “And for him.”
The flight attendant’s eyes began to glisten with tears. She glanced left and right, her demeanor somewhat nervous, somewhat weary: “He was … a very mean traveler,” she whispered. “But you’ll never guess what happened.”

- This is the last thing Southwest Airlines still has going for it. (It’s not quite the GAAP RAP but it’ll do.)
I fly a lot and this is the first time a @southwestair flight attendant did the entire safety announcement to Vanilla Ice’s “Ice Ice Baby.”
Just perfect.
Life is only as boring as you let it be.

- Delta custom medallion bag tags oops
- Power outlets at your seat are often too loose, and won’t stay plugged in. For years I’ve carried a U.K. adapter in my laptop bag and that usually does the trick to secure it. Another approach is Snug Plug. Hadn’t seen this before S. flagged it for me, and thought I’d pass it along.
- If they’re betting on slower demand from an economic slowdown, or less international travel demand from tariffs, this would make obvious sense.

I’m hearing rumours that the 35Ks might be delayed until early 2027, not documented anywhere that I know of but hearing it from a few folks, so will keep an eye on it
