Hezbollah Rockets Strike Tel Aviv Airport By ‘Accident,’ Terror Group Claims After Escalation Disrupts Flights – View from the Wing

In a significant escalation, Hezbollah launched a series of rockets at central Israel on Wednesday, targeting areas near Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv. The Israel Defense Forces reported that most of the projectiles, around ten in total, were intercepted, though one rocket impacted close to the airport, resulting in flight disruptions.

The Israel Airports Authority confirmed that operations continued normally for both arrivals and departures despite the missile attack, although some flights faced brief delays.

Hezbollah claimed responsibility for the missile barrage, asserting that its primary target was the IDF’s Tzrifin base, situated south of Ben Gurion Airport. They hit the airport by mistake.
