Capital One has added JetBlue TrueBlue as a miles transfer partner. JetBlue had been a partner up until October 24, 2021.
The bank’s Venture, Venture X, Venture X Business, and Spark 2X Miles cardholders can transfer points at a 5:3 ratio, so 2,000 Capital One miles transfer to 1,200 TrueBlue points.
Capital One transfer partners are now:
- Star Alliance: Air Canada Aeroplan, Avianca LifeMiles, Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer, TAP Miles&Go, Turkish Airlines Miles&Smiles, EVA Air Infinity MileageLands
- oneworld: Cathay Pacific Asia Miles, British Airways Executive Club, Finnair Plus, Qantas Frequent Flyer
- SkyTeam: Aeromexico Club Premier, Air France KLM Flying Blue, Virgin Red
- Non-alliance: Emirates Skywards, Etihad Guest, JetBlue
- Hotels: Choice Privileges, Wyndham Rewards, Accor Live Limitless
While JetBlue’s program offers relatively low value as a revenue-based redemption offering on the airline’s own flights, there is some value in redeeming with partners like Etihad, Qatar Airways and TAP Air Portugal.
For Capital One, of course, it lets them say they have a U.S. airline transfer partner but the truth is that better value is usually found with foreign partners like Air Canada and Air France.
