Global Travel Collection (GTC) is offering a private jet trip to Europe this December that takes a nostalgic look back at Pan American Airways.
The trip is called “Christmas Markets of Europe, a Pan Am Journey by Private Air.” GTC advisors will sell the trip through April 30. The 10-day trip is limited to 50 travelers and departs Dec. 5.
Guests will fly on a privately chartered Boeing 757-200 with lie-flat, business-class seats. Onboard, they will find Pan Am logos and designs as well as menus and cocktails that hearken back to the airline’s heyday in the 1950s and ’60s. Pan Am was founded in 1927 and ceased operations in 1991.
At each destination, an onboard logistics manager will help move passengers quickly through security and customs.
“What sets this journey apart is its tribute to the heyday of aviation, embracing the sophistication of classic air travel while celebrating the pioneering spirit that guided Pan American World Airways from its founding,” GTC said.
Travelers will visit Christmas markets in Portugal, Austria, Germany and Latvia on the trip, with hotel stays at Belmond Reid’s Palace Madeira, Anantara Palace Vienna, Scandic Hotel Nuremberg and Grand Hotel Kempinski Riga.
The trip is $39,950 per person with shared accommodations. The single supplement is $3,995.
Tour operator Criterion Travel and private jet specialist Bartelings Associates partnered on the itinerary. A licensing partnership was formed with the Pan Am brand.
