Priceline chops more than 100 jobs

Priceline on Friday said it has laid off 103 employees, or 7% of its workforce.

“We continue to innovate and transform our business to deliver great travel experiences for our customers and partners,” Priceline said in a statement. “As part of that, we must align our resource allocation to best prioritize strategic initiatives. While this change unfortunately resulted in the elimination of some roles, it also allows us to invest in key areas for growth.”

Priceline’s parent is Booking Holdings (No. 1 on Travel Weekly’s Power List).
